REDEEMER TAKES 65 TO NEWDAY

Seeing young lives transformed at Newday has become a moment to look forward to every summer for us at Redeemer Church London.

Each year we send a large group of teenagers to the Norfolk countryside for a week of learning more about Jesus Christ and worshipping Him.

At the annual Christian youth festival’s 2026 event last week, we had 65 people from Redeemer – including 40 youths and 25 adults.

Newday, which has developed into one of the UK’s largest Christian events for young people, had a total of around 11,500 attendees this year.

Some 705 of these youngsters dedicated their lives to Jesus for the first time, while 345 reported being healed – including three from our church.

But a further cause for celebration was how many of our young people grew in confidence in their faith and willingness to share it with others.

There were also testimonies of back pains gone; hearing restored with hearing aids no longer needed; and eyesight strengthened with the ability to read without glasses.

The latest event comes two decades on from when Newday launched in 2004, having first been organised by the Newfrontiers family of churches.

Redeemer is part of the wider Newfrontiers network through Advance, a movement established in 2011 when Newfrontiers was split into sections.

If you’d like to be at Newday next year, it will take place at the Norfolk Showground from August 2 to 6, 2027 – click here for more details.
