'What is the most important part of a church service?'

At Redeemer Church London, our two morning services start at 9.30am and 11.30am with both lasting around 75 minutes – and you can be guaranteed of a warm welcome!

We join together for about half an hour of singing songs about Jesus – before the children go out to their groups, we have some notices and then hear a 30-minute talk.

In a recent blog post from popular Canadian Christian blogger Tim Challies, he reminded churchgoers around the world about the importance of turning up on time.

Tim, who is an elder at Grace Fellowship Church in Toronto, wrote in a challenging article that he has 'often been struck by how many people arrive late to church'.

He described how 'many people miss the call to worship, as if it's not all that important to be called away from the cares and concerns of the other six days of life and to be called specifically to a time of corporate worship'.

Tim went on to write that 'many people miss the opening song, as if we don't benefit from having our hearts tuned to praise our God'.
